Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to the most frequently asked questions about CBD, the Patch, and the Roll on.

Cannabidiol or CBD for short is a natural hemp extract which has been found to contain important medicinal properties. There is a growing body of evidence that suggests CBD possesses a strong OPIOID-FREE medical potential for natural relief from:

  • Knee pain
  • Shoulder pain
  • Joint pain
  • Pain from Arthritis
  • Muscle soreness and tenderness
  • Headaches
  • Migraines

Doctors and patients are finding natural CBD to be an effective analgesic for treating mild to moderately severe pain.

Hemp, often referred to as Industrial Hemp, is a member of the cannabis family of plants. Hemp and marijuana are both members of the cannabis family, but very different, just as lemons and grapefruits are both members of the citrus family. Marijuana contains a psychoactive component known as THC (∆9-Tetrahydrocannabinol). It is the THC that gets one “high”. Hemp on the other hand, contains only trace amounts of THC and cannot get you high, and has numerous very nutritious and beneficial compounds (proteins, amino acids, etc.) in addition to high concentrations of the VERY beneficial CBD, to promote good health and well-being. Hemp products are 100% legal in all 50 states and most of the rest of the world.

Marijuana contains a psychoactive component known as THC (∆9-Tetrahydrocannabinol). It is the THC that gets one “high”. Hemp has only negligible amounts of THC, but not enough to get anyone high, even in large quantities.
Drug tests are used to detect THC and other psychoactive compounds. The trace amounts (less than 0.3%, by law) of THC that may be in natural and organic CBD will not result in a positive test result in standard drug tests.
There have been no reported adverse side effects to the use of our patch or its components. Our foam patch is a relatively new hypoallergenic material that is gaining widespread use in the medical community. We use only natural, certified organic, non-GMO materials in our products, especially in the CBD, carrier oils, enhancers and fragrances. However, should you develop a rash, swelling, itching, or redness due to use of the patch or any product, discontinue use immediately and consult your healthcare provider.
Yes. Our patch is constructed on a hypoallergenic foam substrate that is intended for use on patients with latex allergies. However, you should make sure you are not allergic to any of the natural oils and extracts contained in our product. Should you develop a rash, swelling, itching, or redness due to use of the patch or any product, discontinue use immediately and consult your healthcare provider.
The patch is designed to deliver the CDB mixture gradually over 96 hours. Although there is no harm in leaving the patch on for longer periods of time, it is not recommended, and provides no further benefit.
The patch should be applied to clean, dry, unbroken skin as close as possible to where pain is most intense. Clean the area with the alcohol swab included with your patch and allow the skin to dry. Remove the protective strip from the adhesive side of the patch and carefully place the patch on the target area. Gently press the patch to ensure maximum adhesion. Do not remove the patch for showering or bathing, as this will greatly lessen the effectiveness. Removal and reapplication of a patch greatly compromises its adhesion. Patch works best when applied to a less hairy area of skin.

It is recommended that you wear only one or two patches (e.g., back or neck; one on each foot or leg, etc.). Usually patients experience relief with one or two patches. Wearing additional patches has not been shown to be harmful, but may not provide additional benefit.
Absolutely. Patients often use a patch for back pain, and the roll-on for localized pain elsewhere, like an arthritic knuckle, or near the patch to augment its effects and kick-start relief.
Patches should be stored in a cool, dry area. The oils in the patches are designed to liquefy at skin temperatures and migrate out of the reservoir onto the skin. Higher temperatures will not degrade the effectiveness of the pain relieving oils, however, they may cause the oils to seep out of the reservoir pad and onto the adhesive of the foam patch, degrading its ability to adhere to the skin for the intended duration of 96 hours.
Yes. Each patch is precisely measured and the ingredients may not always reach to the edge of the Patch reservoir. As you wear the patch, the oils will extend to the outer edges.
Yes. We use a blend of natural oils and extracts of various densities and melting points, each of which become solid at different temperatures. You may notice more solids at the bottom of the bottle in colder temperatures, and little or no solids at higher temperatures. It is however recommended to gently agitate the bottle prior to applying the product to get the intended full effect from each and every component in the mix.
Although not recommended (even though it doesn't taste bad) ingesting the liquid CBD and other natural ingredients in our products will not harm you. Our roll-on liquid is made from food grade components.
Yes. The only limitation is to avoid applying to broken skin. Although many users have applied the oil to cracked and broken skin and have not reported any adverse reactions, it is not recommended.

The oils in the roll-on absorb rapidly once applied and massaged into the skin. It is recommended that you do not apply amounts that will result in an oily feeling lasting more than a few minutes. A maximum amount of oil to apply at any given time has not been established and varies by skin conditions. How much you apply at any given time is a personal decision.

Maximum tolerable dosage to our pain relief ingredients has not been established. Our recommendation is that you start out with an initial application, and wait about twenty minutes. If you experience no relief, reapply and wait twenty minutes again. Repeat this process several times. Although applying a large amount of our CBD oil mixture is not harmful, we recommend using as little as necessary to relieve your pain, so as to not waste money.

Depending the type and origin of the pain, it may take a day or more to get relief (arthritic and tendon related pain may take longer to respond than muscular pain from overexertion). If you still do not experience relief after a day or two, then this product may not be the best treatment for your pain. And as always, if swelling or irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician, as you may be allergic to one or more of the ingredients.
